Elderly Man Dies In Paterson Fire: Prosecutor
A 3-alarm fire broke out at a two-family home. Authorities found the man inside the home, dead.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — An elderly Paterson man was found dead inside a house following a fire Tuesday night, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office announced.
The man, identified as Russel Mahan, 76, was found dead inside the East 26th Street home, said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes.
Police and firefighters responded to the home shortly after 6:30 p.m. in response to a three-alarm fire at the two-family home, Valdes said.

The home was severely damaged. No other injuries were reported, Valdes said.
The Paterson police and fire departments, prosecutor's office, and the Passaic County Sheriff's Department are investigating the fire.
