The forum is designed for parents of middle school and high school students to get updated information about the current drug trends in and around Wayne, including opiates and prescription drugs. Local police officers speak at the forum every year.
Mayor Chris Vergano and Wayne Public Schools Superintendent Mark Toback co-host the event. The Wayne Education Association, the Wayne Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, and the Albert Anthony Kayal Foundation are co-sponsoring the event.
"Working proactively, we can make a difference in our children's lives and I encourage everyone to attend this very valuable program," Vergano said.
