Fatal House Fire In Totowa Under Investigation

A 62-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a house fire, authorities said.

TOTOWA, NJ - A 62-year-old man was killed in a house fire early Saturday morning in Totowa, according to authorities.

Around 5:37 a.m., police officers and firefighters responded to a two-family home on Gordon Avenue after receiving a report of a fire, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said.

The body of Gregory Massaro was found on the second floor of the home, according to the prosecutor's office. One person, whom was not injured, was rescued from the first floor and taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center as a precaution, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported and the fire was contained to the home. The prosecutor's office did not release any other information over the weekend regarding the fire.
