Ferrari Drivers Indicted in Man's Bergen County Motorcycle Death

Two men are facing aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges in connection with the May 2012 death of a Kinnelon man in an accident on Berry’s Creek Road in East Ruthorford, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, Joseph Ferretti, 28, of Dumont, and Joseph Meyer, 19, of Oviedo, Fla., were indicted Monday on charges that they were speeding and driving recklessly when they both lost control of their cars and hit Stephen Lenge, 56, head-on.

Lenge, who owned a popular record store in Cliffside Park and was driving a motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

The two men, who were driving Ferraris at the time of the accident, both worked at Gotham Dream Cars of Englewood, the report said. The company was hosting an event that allowed locals to drive high-end cars around a track near MetLife Stadium, the report said. 

Lenge’s family is suing the company and MetLife – which leased the company its parking lot – saying they created a dangerous driving condition that contributed to Lenge’s death, NorthJersey.com reported.

Ferretti and Meyer face up to 10 to 30 years in prison if convicted of the manslaughter charges, the report said.
