PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Miguel Angel Soto was a son, a twin, and a father.

Soto's life came to a sudden end Saturday after he crashed his motorcycle into a vehicle on Route 20 in Paterson.

An online fundraiser has been started to help Soto's family. The goal is to raise $35,000. More than $3,800 was donated Monday afternoon, about four hours after the campaign went live.

"He was such a vibrant human being who spread love just by being in his presence. He enjoyed life to its fullest extent each and every day," said Vicky Vee, who started the fundraiser. "He was a giving person. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it."

Money from the fundraiser will be used to pay for Soto's funeral. Any remaining money will go into a trust fund for his children "to support their future needs."

Soto, 30, was driving a 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle in the eastbound lane of Route 20, said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes. Soto hit a 2008 Acura MDX, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. He died a short time later.
