Funeral Thursday for Wayne Man Killed in Route 46 Accident

Funeral services are set for Michael W. Pascrell, 21, who died Saturday after being struck by a car Friday night.

Pascrell, a lifelong resident of Wayne, will be laid to rest at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa after a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 630 Valley Road.

The Wayne Valley High School Class of 2010 graduate was walking on the right side of a ramp leading to Route 46 at about 10:15 p.m. Friday when an unidentified driver struck him. Pascrell died at St. Joseph's hospital at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

Pascrell was a junior at Rider University and a cousin of U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-Paterson.
