WAYNE, NJ — The next free shredding event for Wayne Township residents has been set for later this summer, giving residents the opportunity to destroy confidential documents safely and securely.

The event will take place rain or shine on Saturday, Sept. 14 in the front parking lot of the Wayne Municipal Building, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents must show proof that they live in Wayne Township, and are allowed to bring up to four banker boxes' worth of documents.

"Documents should be in cardboard boxes or reusable containers, not plastic bags," officials said. "The boxes and containers will be returned after the materials are dumped."
