How Many Snow Days Do Wayne Schools Have Left?
What happens when all the snow days are used? Find out.
As Winter Storm Linus forced Wayne Schools to close Monday and have a delayed opening Tuesday, it’s time to ask: how many snow days does your school district have? And what happens if all of the snow days are used?
According to Wayne Superintendent of Schools Mark Toback, the school district has four emergency days built into the school calendar and has already used two.
If the Wayne School District runs out of snow days, they will be taken from Spring Break recess, which is scheduled to run from March 30 to April 3.

According to the Wayne School District calendar, if an extra snow day is needed, schools will be in session on April 2 and if a second extra snow day is needed, schools will also be in session on Wednesday, April 1.
But if no more snow days are used, the extra days will be piled onto the Memorial Day Weekend break - allowing students and teachers to have two extra days off on Friday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 26.

However, with February just beginning, there might be possibility the school district will be forced to use its last two snow days.
“We’re half way there,” Toback said.
