'Large Gas Leak' Closes Passaic Co. Road Wednesday, Fire Department Says

WEST MILFORD, NJ — A "large gas leak" has closed part of Macopin Road in West Milford, officials said late Wednesday morning.

Macopin Road is closed between Westbrook Road and Woolley Road, according to the West Milford Fire Department. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

As of 10:47 a.m., the fire department was on the scene and waiting for gas company crews to arrive. Officials did not say how long the road closure might last.
