Man, 28, Killed In Weekend Shooting: Passaic Prosecutor

Police found the man with multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday evening; he died at the hospital, officials said.

PATERSON, NJ — Officials are investigating the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in Paterson over the weekend.

According to Paterson Police and the Prosecutor's Office, officers received a report of shots fired at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday. The arriving officers located a man who had been shot multiple times, near the intersection of Market Street and Pennington Street.

First responders took the unidentified man to St. Joseph's University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

No suspect information has been released at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. This is the second shooting death reported in the city this year.
