Man Sexted With 12-Year-Old Totowa Girl For Weeks: Sheriff
The man provided the girl with a list of rules she had to obey when communicating with him; he also mailed her a gift, authorities said.

A North Jersey man is accused of "sexting" a young Totowa girl for weeks following an investigation by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, authorities announced.
Michael J. Chiuchiolo Jr., 48, of Riverdale, was charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a minor, attempted sexual assault of a minor, endangering the welfare of a minor, and obscene material for persons under the age of 18, Berdnik said.
The sheriff's office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Feb. 14 received information from the Totowa Police Department about a parent who found sexually explicit text messages from a man on her 12-year-old daughter's cell phone, said Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

The man met the girl through a live video streaming website, Berdnik said. He communicated with the girl for several weeks and provided the child with a list of hand-written rules she had to follow, he said.
The man engaged in sexually explicit text messages and also sent her a gift he mailed her, Berdnik said.

Detectives from the Passaic County Sheriff's Office and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office arrested Chiuchiolo Jr. Authorities seized items from his house that will be forensically examined for possible further evidence.
Chiuchiolo Jr. was taken to the Passaic County Jail.
