Man's Body Found Hanging Off North Jersey Rail Bridge: Officials
Authorities are investigating the cause and manner of death, NJ Transit said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found hanging off a bridge in Passaic Tuesday morning.
Authorities were notified of the body hanging from the NJ Transit bridge at about 6:45 a.m., said NJ Transit spokesperson Jim Smith. The bridge is on NJ Transit's Main Line.
NJ Transit police are leading the investigation, along with the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. The Office of the Passaic County Medical Examiner will investigate the cause and manner of death.

Trains on the main line were subject to a 30-minute delay until service was restored.
There was a heavy police presence at the scene and a large red tarp was draped over the railroad overpass while authorities investigated, NorthJersey.com reported.
