The victim was between 5 and 6 years old, per officials. A jury also found the 74-year-old man guilty of trying to sexually assault a woman.

PATERSON, NJ — Jurors have convicted a Paterson man of sexually assaulting a child and attempting to sexually assault a young woman over the course of several years, nearly two decades ago.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, both victims told police that Muniru Owe had sexually abused them in the past at a residence in Haledon.
Authorities began investigating the assaults in 2020, after the first woman came forward to report that Owe sexually assaulted her between 2004 and 2006. She was between 5 and 6 years old at the time, the prosecutor said.
