North Jersey Motorcyclist, 53, Killed After Hitting 2 Other Vehicles

Police said the motorcycle's operator lost control and struck a parked car, then collided with another vehicle that was making a U-turn.

PATERSON, NJ — A motorcyclist died early Monday morning after running into a parked car and then hitting another driver in Paterson, according to police.

Officers responded to the crash near the corner of Broadway and Church Street shortly after midnight and located the driver, who was later pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for the Paterson Police Department said the driver was westbound on Broadway when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a parked car. Then, he collided with another driver who was making a U-turn in the area.

The motorcycle operator has been identified as 53-year-old Darin Jackson of Paterson, according to Paterson Police.

The Paterson Police Department Traffic Unit and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office will continue to investigate the crash. No further details were released.
