Passaic Co. Man Sentenced After Posting Dozens Of Child Porn Materials
A jury found Renato C. LaTorre, 25, guilty on two charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A Passaic County man was sentenced last week after uploading dozens of videos depicting child sexual abuse, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
Renato C. LaTorre, 25, of Paterson, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty on two charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
An investigation was launched in April 2023 after the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a tip that a Google account managed by LaTorre was posting videos depicting child abuse.

The investigation revealed that between June 22, 2022, and July 18, 2022, LaTorre had posted 15 videos showing sexual abuse against a child. Further investigation showed that LaTorre had an additional 18 videos depicting the same kind of content.
As a result of the discovery of 33 videos, LaTorre was arrested at his Paterson residence on April 4, 2023.

A 13-day trial commenced this past March, with the jury finding LaTorre guilty of the two charges on March 26.
LaTorre will be required to serve a minimum of five years of his six-year prison sentence, and will be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law registration requirements, officials said.
