Passaic County Cop Exposed Himself To Child, Officials Charge
The child was walking home from school when the man called out from his vehicle and exposed himself before driving off, a report said.
PATERSON, NJ — A Paterson police officer has been suspended from duty after being accused of exposing himself to a child, according to officials and reports.
Angel Acevedo, 31, was arrested Monday in Bloomfield, as NJ Advance Media reported.
Bloomfield Police said the child was walking home around 4 p.m. that day, when a man called out from his vehicle and exposed himself before driving off.

Officials located the car and its driver soon afterwards, and the child identified Acevedo as the suspect, the report said.
Acevedo was charged with third-degree endangering-sexual conduct with a child by a non-caretaker and lewdness as a disorderly person’s offense. A police spokesperson said he has been suspended without pay, and first joined Paterson Police in 2019.
