Passaic Man Filmed Kids In Shower With Hidden Camera: Sheriff

A Pompton Lakes man was arrested Wednesday for secretly filming at least three victims inside his bathroom and distributing the kiddie porn online, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said.

Ricardo Antonio Moya-Cruz, 28, had 1,000 child pornography files on his computer and a flash drive, Berdnik said. Detectives found the files while executing a search warrant on Moya-Cruz's home Wednesday.

The Passaic County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information from on an individual distributing images and video files of child pornography, Berdnik said.

Authorities found several videos of Moya-Cruz setting up a hidden camera inside his bathroom apartment and turning it toward the shower stall, Berdnik said.

Other videos showed three unidentified victims inside the bathroom, the sheriff said.

Moya-Cruz, a cook at a Haskell deli, was charged with multiple counts of child pornography charges, including first-degree manufacturing child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, maintaining child pornography, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and three counts of invasion of privacy, Berdnik said.

Moya-Cruz was taken to the Passaic County Jail.
