PATERSON, NJ – A group of preschool and kindergarten students spent hours on a school bus Thursday afternoon after their driver got lost, according to a report.

Northjersey.com reported that two separate buses, both of which are operated by private carriers, dropped off students three hours after school let out for the day.

Since the district said students are supposed to arrive home within an hour of dismissal, several parents grew concerned and began contacting district offices, the report said.
