Police: ​Wayne Woman Dies In Wreck With Dump Truck

Police said the 29-year-old woman died when her car struck a broken down dump truck on Route 23 North in Wayne Township.

WAYNE, NJ — One woman died Thursday morning in Wayne when her car struck a broken down dump truck on Route 23 North in Wayne Township.

Police said officers were called to the scene of the crash at 9:40 Thursday morning near the Wayne Inn. When officers arrived, they found a 2000 Ford F650 dump truck had broken down on the side of the roadway.

In a statement, police said 29-year-old Ashley Miller, of Wayne, was driving a 2018 Chevrolex Track when her car struck the dump truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.
