Two patrol officers delivered a baby during an overnight shift last week in Pompton Lakes, according to the department.
POMPTON LAKES, NJ – Two patrol officers delivered a baby during an overnight shift last week in Pompton Lakes, according to the department.
When Officers Kyle Stefanic and Corey Flynn were dispatched on Aug. 14 to a home after receiving a call that a pregnant woman was going into labor, the pair jumped into action soon after their arrival to deliver the baby.
In an update posted on its Facebook page Friday, the department said, “Mom and baby Heather are both doing well and are now baby home. Congratulations to the entire McKenna family and kudos to Ptl. Stefanic and Ptl Flynn on a job well done!”
