The new store has created 35 new local jobs and QuickChek hired 56 team members when it opened its store near William Paterson University in October 2013, bringing the total number of new positions it has created in town to 91.

Each store typically generates approximately $1 million in tax revenue, adding to the positive impact on the local economy.

“Wayne is a large and vibrant community,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. “We look forward to continuing to serve this market by providing neighborhood shopping destinations close to where our customers live and work.”

The new store will be open 24 hours a day and will feature a Q Café, which offers handcrafted smoothies, lattes, espresso and more; no-fee ATMs which provide additional added value to consumers; indoor seating for 13 people and outdoor seating for eight; eight fueling stations and 47 parking spaces.

Grand Opening promotions for the new Wayne store include free large coffee and free 20-ounce iced coffee offered to all patrons and free 20-ounce fountain drinks for children 5-feet-tall and under from Jan. 13-25, 2015. QuickChek will also donate $0.25 for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from Jan. 13-Feb. 12, 2015 to the Wayne Little League.

Much more than a typical convenience store, QuickChek has grown to be the market leader in the New York metropolitan area through innovation and its focus on fresh products and friendly employees.

QuickChek’s award-winning food and beverage program features touch screen technology which allows consumers to create custom-made oven-toasted subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The company prides itself on its fresh-brewed coffee, which consumers voted the best coffee in America in a recent national survey conducted by Technomic.

How good is it? QuickChek outsold Starbucks in hot brewed units in New Jersey during the third quarter of 2014 despite having 40 percent fewer locations.

QuickChek stores provide one-stop shopping, offering a wide variety of grocery and market items including fresh baked goods from an in-store bakery and excellent customer service provided by locally hired team members. Modern by industry standards, the company maintains bright clean stores, well-lighted fuel stations and parking lots with wide, easy-to-use entrances and exits that add to a shopper’s convenience.

QuickChek operates 140 retail locations throughout New Jersey and New York, including 11 pharmacy stores and 48 locations with fuel. The family-owned and operated chain enjoys the rare distinction of being named one of the Best Places to Work in both New Jersey and New York State.

Named one of the “Most Generous Companies” in the state by New Jersey Monthly magazine, QuickChek is active in its communities, raising millions of dollars for a variety of local causes. The company recently raised $125,000 in just six weeks during the Check-Out Hunger campaign to help feed hungry families during the holidays.
