Some Teacher, Caregiver Positions Still Open At Wayne Public Schools

The district is also looking for paraprofessionals, caregivers and assistants for the before- and after-school care programs, and coaches.

WAYNE, NJ — The new school year is underway at Wayne Township Schools, and the district is still looking to fill a number of roles both inside and out of the classroom.

There are dozens of positions open as of Wednesday, Sept. 25, some of which the school district also posted on social media.

Specifically, Wayne Public Schools is hiring paraprofessionals, caregivers and assistants for the before- and after-school care programs, teachers, administrators, and coaches. Bus drivers and a school bus dispatcher are also needed ASAP.

These positions include:

  • Interim assistant principal, Wayne Hills HS
  • After-school library monitor
  • Before- and after-care program caregiver, elementary
  • Before- and after-care program assistant
  • Van aide
  • Facilities integration and system specialist
  • Assistant maintenance supervisor
  • Per diem substitute positions as a school nurse, office professional, paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and cafeteria playground aide
  • Long-term replacement teachers in middle school math, high school chemistry, and high school PE
  • Technology teacher/robotics instructor at Wayne Hills HS
  • Special education teachers in English and math at the high school level
