Special Wayne School Board Meeting Set To Discuss Superintendent Search
As Dr. Mark Toback announced his upcoming retirement, the school board will begin the process of looking for a new superintendent.

WAYNE, NJ — The Wayne Township Board of Education will hold a special meeting Wednesday to begin a process they have not gone through in more than 10 years: Looking for a new district superintendent.
Dr. Mark Toback, who has been in the position since 2014, announced that he will retire after the end of the current school year.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4 at their offices (50 Nellis Drive) to begin the process of finding a replacement. Board members will go into executive session to discuss confidential matters and then discuss the superintendent search when they reconvene, according to the meeting agenda.

The meeting will be open to the public.
Before coming to Wayne Township, Toback was the superintendent for three years at Hoboken Public Schools and spent five years as the chief school administrator at Sussex County Technical School in Sparta.
