Typical Home Price Hits $500K In Passaic County: Latest Zillow Data
Homes for sale in Wayne Township are 7.6 percent more expensive than they were last year, recent housing market data from Zillow shows.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — The price of buying a home is continuing to go up for residents in Wayne, Passaic County, and around the Garden State, with housing data from Zillow showing prices increased 7.1 percent since last year.
The most recent Zillow Home Value Index report from the real estate marketing company shows that typical home prices in Passaic Co. have gone up 6.11 percent since a year ago, and 5.73 percent since the beginning of 2023.
At the beginning of September — the last month of data currently available from Zillow — the typical home price in the county was $501,360. That is compared to $472,486 at the beginning of last September, and $474,199 at the beginning of January.

And Wayne Township is above that mark, Zillow shows — with the average Wayne home value at $631,406, up 7.6 percent since last year.
The most expensive county to buy a home in New Jersey right now is Cape May County, where the typical home price was $680,175 as of Sept. 1. Monmouth, Bergen, and Morris counties also have typical home values over $600,000, per Zillow data.
