Wayne Boy Wins NJ 'Elks Hoop Shoot' Contest With Perfect Score
Dylan, a third-grader, will face other local state champions next month, with the hopes of advancing to the national competition in April.

WAYNE, NJ — A Wayne boy is competing for his shot at a national free throw championship title, after getting a perfect 25 out of 25 in state competition.
The Elks National Hoop Shoot is a free throw program for youth ages 8-13, and local third-grader Dylan Bogdanski won contests at the local and district level before competing against the top New Jersey competitors on Feb. 11 in South Plainfield.
The fraternal organization has put on the Hoop Shoot for more than 50 years.

Bogdanski will then face other local state champions in March, with the hopes of advancing to a national championship in April. The national championship will take place in Chicago, at Wintrust Arena (home of the WNBA team Chicago Sky, and the DePaul University Blue Devils).
