WAYNE, NJ – Nearly 70 local children are able to start off the school year on the right foot thanks to the efforts of the Wayne Interfaith Network.
A back-to-school drive coordinated by WIN in late August provided 66 children with new backpacks filled with school supplies, as well as monetary vouchers to a local department store to purchase new clothes and shoes, according to the organization.
Several area houses of worship, service organizations and local businesses donated supplies, as well as money, for the school drive, according to WIN.
