Wayne Native's Glamorous New Salon Has European Feel

Linsey Barbuto, a self-proclaimed travel enthusiast, wanted her first salon to be a tribute to the beautiful sights she's seen abroad.

WAYNE, NJ – A Wayne native’s glamorous new salon aims to give clients a taste of Europe right here at home.

Inspired by her travels to Italy, France and Greece with her husband and their purebred poodle, Linsey Barbuto, a self-proclaimed travel enthusiast, wanted to pay tribute to the beautiful sights they saw abroad.

“Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a business owner. While attending Wayne Valley High School, I would see the shopping strip across the street and always dreamed of having my own shop in that location. When I was ready to open Perlei Salon I knew it had to be in Wayne. Wayne has a great community. It’s family oriented, safe, close to NYC and the people who live here are incredibly supportive and kind. When I was designing Perlei Salon I wanted it to mirror how I view the town. To me, Wayne is beautiful, elegant, well-manicured, and most importantly is the definition of home,” she said.

After more than a decade in the industry, Barbuto decided to open her very own salon and worked with Vanessa Deleon, a New York City-based interior designer to create the space. Perlei Salon, which opened in March, is located at 578-A Valley Road in Wayne and offers hair cuts, styling, coloring, make up services, waxing and Keratin treatments.
