Wayne School Board Elections 2024: See The List Of Candidates
Monday was the deadline for all candidates to submit their petitions to run for school board. Take a look at who is running locally:

WAYNE, NJ — The 2024 general election will likely be a high-turnout year with a presidential race on the ballot. But there will also be local decisions to be made on Nov. 5 in the Wayne Township Board of Education race, as three members have terms expiring at the end of this year.
Monday, July 29 was the deadline for candidates to file petitions, and five people have put their names forth this year.

Below is a list of candidates, and a campaign slogan if they submitted one. All information comes from the Passaic County Clerk's office, and these positions are three-year terms unless stated otherwise.

- Haralampos Prassakos (incumbent)
- Ryan Paul (incumbent), "Common Sense Solutions"
- Ehab "Ahab" Husein, "Building Bridges Together"
- Wilson Alequin
Current member Iveta Wentink's term expires at the end of the year, but she did not appear on the candidate list.
Positions on school boards in towns in New Jersey are unpaid; board members help determine how educational resources and taxes are allocated and spent, and work with educators and administrators to plan the future of the district.
Early voting will take place from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
