Wayne School District Offers Parents One of the Best Values in NJ, Study Finds

The study ranked Wayne's school district 79th out of 266 for its high graduation rate and 81 percent enrollment in 4-year higher education.

A new study found that the Wayne School District offers parents one of the best values in New Jersey.

Consumer advocacy site NerdWallet compiled the list of 266 school disctrics to show “there are many affordable cities with strong schools, and many places where better schools offset the premium of living [in New Jersey].”

According to the study, Wayne came in at number 79 for its 95 percent graduation rate, 81 percent enrollment in 4-year high education, average SAT score of 1584 and average class size of 12.5 students.

“By balancing school quality ratings with cost-of-living data, NerdWallet has found the school districts where families will get the most bang for their buck in New Jersey,” according to NerdWallet’s website.

The top five school districts were Haddonfield, Glen Rock, Bernards, Verona, Pequannock, while the bottom five were Hoboken, Roselle, Plainfield, Trenton and Asbury Park.
