Here are all the important dates families need to know about for the coming school year.
WAYNE, NJ— Don't let this news stop you from enjoying the remainder of the summer, but the first bell of the 2019-20 school year is about a week away.
Here are some key dates for the upcoming school year:
- First day of school: Sept. 4
- Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 30-Oct. 1
- Yom Kippur: Oct. 9
- No School: Nov. 5
- No School/NJEA Conference: Nov. 7-8
- Thanksgiving break: Minimal Day Nov. 27, off Nov. 28-29
- Minimal Day For Elementary Students: Dec. 9-10
- Minimal Day: Dec. 23
- Winter break: Dec. 24 to Jan. 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school closed: Jan. 20
- Minimal Day: Feb. 14
- Winter Recess: Feb. 17
- Spring Break: April 6-10
- Memorial Day, School Closed: May 25
- Minimal Day: June 17
- Minimal Day /Last Day of School: June 18
Noting these dates are good way to prepare for going back to school. But don't forget the school supplies.
