• Mercer County opens new bi-county bridge over Millstone River (planetprinceton.com) — A newly built bridge over the Millstone River has reopened the connection between Millstone Road in West Windsor and Grover’s Mill Road in Plainsboro, restoring a major route between Mercer and Middlesex counties. The modern single-span structure replaces an aging, deficient 1967 bridge and now meets current safety standards, with new sidewalks, railings, and repaved approaches designed to ease traffic and improve everyday travel for local drivers and pedestrians.

• South Jersey boardwalk named best Christmas Day walking spot in NJ (courierpostonline.com) — If you’re staying local on Christmas, Mercer County Park’s Lake Loop in West Windsor has been named New Jersey’s runner-up spot for a scenic holiday walk.
