A big congratulations goes out to the folks at Deptford Center, the 240-bed skilled nursing facility on Clements Bridge Road. The American Heart Association (AHA) has awarded and certified the facility for its Heart Failure Program. Yesterday, many of the proud leaders from the facility, from their parent company, Centers Health Care, as well as Department heads, therapists and nurses, assembled in the therapy department for a photo opportunity with their new certification.

We are so proud to be given this very prestigious certification by the American Heart Association due to the work we do here in the field of heart failure,” said Sam Isaak, Administration, Deptford Center. “We care deeply for our residents and overall their heart health, so with great gratitude to all of our clinical personnel in nursing and rehabilitation, Deptford Center is the place where families can take their loves ones with the comforting feeling that our heart program exists and thrives here.”

This is a unique certification by the AHA as not every skilled nursing facility gets this kind of special recognition, and only recently has the AHA realized that healthcare institutions in the field of post-acute care with special proven heart programs need to be noticed. Deptford Center is only one of those special facilities.
