Police Wanted: Franklin Hiring Special Law Enforcement Officer

Applications are available through March 3, officials said. Here's how to apply:

FRANKLIN, NJ - Franklin Township police are accepting applications for a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer, department officials said.

Interested parties can obtain an application at the Township of Franklin Police Department (1571 Delsea Drive), policeapp.com or via the Township of Franklin website at franklintownshipnj.org. Completed applications can be emailed to Deputy Chief Matthew DeCesari at mdecesari@franklintownship.com.

Applications are due by March 3 at 4 p.m.

Appointees are required to be New Jersey residents over the age of 18 with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent, have a valid New Jersey’s driver’s license and currently hold a PTC certification for Class II Special Officer. A fitness test, written test, urinalysis and a psychological exam will be conducted.

Applicants must also be of “good reputation and be of sound moral character” and undergo a complete background investigation.
