RCSJ’s 4th Annual President’s Golf Classic raises over $30,000 for Adult Center for Transition (ACT) Program

RCSJ event marks biggest Golf Classic in four-year history

On Monday, October 20, 2025, Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) and the Rowan College of South Jersey Foundation hosted its 4th Annual President’s Golf Classic at the Pitman Golf Course, benefiting the college’s Adult Center for Transition (ACT). This event marked the biggest Golf Classic thus far with 108 golfers participating and the Foundation raising over $30,000.

This year’s outing is also a milestone for Dr. Brenden Rickards, as it marks his first Golf Classic in his new role as interim president of Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ). Dr. Rickards assumed this role on July 1, 2025.

RCSJ leadership and the RCSJ Foundation would like to recognize and thank this year’s Presenting Sponsor, Garrison Architects. They consistently support RCSJ students each year, and much of the event’s success was due to their sponsorship.

Event proceeds provide financial support to students and strengthen ACT’s mission - helping young adults who seek the vocational, educational, and social skills necessary to become independent and contributing members of society. The funds will also provide scholarships to help offset program costs for RCSJ ACT students with financial need – ensuring more young adults can access the vocational, educational, and social skills training necessary for greater independence and career opportunities.

ACT students played a special role in the day’s success, assisting with event registration and setup. The RCSJ Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams also volunteered for the event, sharing their time and expertise on the course.
