Wayward Cow Captured In South Jersey After Moo-ving Trip Around Town

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A wayward cow who apparently went looking for greener pastures found her way to a swimming pool store in South Jersey town on Saturday, leaving police seeking help to round her up and get get her to safety.

Logan Township police shared a photo of the balky bovine on Facebook, after she had been found in the area of U.S. Route 322 near the Woolwich Township border around 9:30 a.m., outside a Leslie's Pool store.

"We can't make this up," police said in the post, where they asked for help in catching the cow.

" Unfortunately, lassos and lariats aren’t in our standard equipment issue," police said.

About an hour later, police said the cow was safely under control.

"The cow has been apprehended! Thanks to some friends in our community, the cow is safe and sound," police said. The cow was taken to Gloucester County DREAM Park equestrian facility on Route 130 until it could be reunited with its owners.

The site of the cow's home pasture wasn't immediately known.

"Big thanks to them for helping moooove her along!" police said.
