1 Injured In Union County House Fire: Officials
One man was injured in a large Union County house fire that "engulfed" the residence in flames, authorities said.
LINDEN, NJ - One man was injured in a large Union County house fire that “engulfed” the residence in flames, authorities said.
At around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Linden Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a house fire on the 1100 block of Forest Drive, Linden police said.
At the scene, Linden police and fire units found the back of the home “engulfed in flames.” An initial investigation found that the fire began in the yard and spread into the home, police said.

Residents were safely evacuated from the home and neighboring houses, police said. One man sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by Linden Fire Department personnel.
The specific cause of the fire remains under investigation.
