UNION COUNTY, NJ - A teen was seriously injured after she was thrown from a vehicle in a Garden State Parkway crash on Saturday in Union County, according to a report.
The girl, 14, was traveling with a 51-year-old Maplewood woman in a minivan heading southbound near milepost 140.5 in Kenilworth around 9:30 a.m. when the vehicle struck a right guardrail, NJ.com reported.
The minivan hit a concrete overpass support and another guardrail before crossing the roadway and striking a concrete median barrier, NJ.com added.

It was not immediately clear where the girl was taken for treatment or what her condition was as of Monday morning.
The driver was uninjured in the crash, NJ.com wrote.
