Delivery Truck Bursts Into Flames In Union County: Officials

The truck was half-full with packages and mail at the time of the fire.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A mail delivery truck caught fire on Tuesday afternoon with packages inside.

At around 3:30 p.m., the Westfield Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire at the intersection of Nancy Way and Lamberts Mill Road.

Three engines arrived and had the fire under control within minutes, the Fire Department said.

A small fluid leak was also contained by the Union County Hazmat Team.

According to officials, nobody was injured in the fire.
