ELIZABETH, NJ - A downed pole on the New Jersey Turnpike has prompted traffic delays Saturday afternoon in Elizabeth, authorities said.

As of 12:07 p.m., there’s a downed pole and emergency maintenance on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound near Interchange 13A - Newark Liberty International Airport/US 1&9 in Elizabeth, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

The left shoulder is closed, the agency said.
