Eight Westfield Flyers Advance to National Junior Olympics in Texas
The track club members move on after at 16-degree Regional Junior Olympics.
Twelve athletes from the Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club were among the more than 350 athletes that competed in 16 degree weather at the Regional Junior Olympics on Nov. 24 in Slippery Rock, PA.
Eight Flyers have advanced to the National Junior Olympics in San Antonio, TX, which will take place on Dec. 14.
Eamon Mason was the Flyers top finisher. Mason finished 8th in his division.
The eight athletes that qualified for the National Junior Olympics are:
Age 13-14 Boys Division: Thomas Whitehead
