  • New Providence 1.68 inches
  • Newark Airport 1.65 inches
  • Mountainside 1.61 inches
  • Cranford Twp 1.52 inches
  • Westfield 1.50 inches

More rain is forecasted to fall on Wednesday and Thursday.

"Flash flooding concerns will continue over the next 3 days," said US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 7 mph.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 74. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 82. South wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.

Friday Night: Showers. Low around 73. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.
