Westfield Emergency Response To Get $50K Upgrades: See What's New (patch.com) — Westfield residents can expect stronger emergency response after Redeemer Lutheran Church marked its 100th anniversary by donating nearly $50,000 to the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad. The funds will convert a Chevrolet Tahoe into a dedicated emergency services and mobile command vehicle, improving responses to major incidents and firefighter rehabilitation in town.
   

2. No More Free Rides: Charging Your EV in Downtown Westfield Will Cost You Now (tapinto.net) — If you charge an electric vehicle in downtown Westfield, you’ll now pay instead of plugging in for free. Jolt has taken over the eight municipal lot chargers and introduced per‑kWh pricing and optional subscriptions, replacing the no-cost Volta system that had operated since 2021.

New Providence's Clint 'Cap' Pazdera Inducted into State Coaches Hall of Fame (tapinto.net) — Westfield readers will recognize former Westfield High School athletic director Sandy Mamary, who helped induct New Providence girls basketball coach Clint “Cap” Pazdera into the State Coaches Association Hall of Fame in Edison.
