Westfield High Students Honored As Advocates To End Blood Cancers (patch.com) — Westfield residents can cheer on Westfield High School students Aidan Murphy and Alex Daviouros, who were selected as North Jersey candidates in the 2026 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign to fight blood cancers. Beginning in January, they’ll lead fundraising teams honoring a pediatric survivor, with their efforts culminating at a March 2026 Grand Finale Celebration.

Delivery Truck Bursts Into Flames In Union County: Officials (patch.com) — Neighbors in Westfield saw a dramatic scene Tuesday when a mail delivery truck burst into flames at Nancy Way and Lamberts Mill Road, drawing three engines from the Westfield Fire Department. Firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze, contained a small fluid leak with help from the Union County Hazmat Team, and confirmed no injuries, though the truck held numerous packages.

Brindle Scores Final Settlements for Affordable Housing and One Westfield Place (tapinto.net) — Westfield’s outgoing mayor and council have secured final legal settlements clearing the way for the town’s affordable housing plan and the One Westfield Place development, locking in 10 years of protection from builder lawsuits. The meeting also marked an emotional farewell for departing council members and set the stage for Mayor-elect Jeremy Berman and the new council to be sworn in this January.
