UNION COUNTY, NJ — After weeks of drought, it has finally rained in Union County! But how much fell overnight?
The National Weather Service(NWS) reported Cranford recorded the most in Union County with 0.86 inches as of around 8 a.m on Thursday.

Thursday: Showers. Temperature falling to around 42 by 5 p.m. North wind 10 to 13 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Southwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m., then rain showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. South wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. South wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north after midnight.
