State of Emergency, Parking Restrictions in Effect in Westfield

Westfield Police informed residents of a parking ban on a number of streets throughout the town.

The Westfield Police Department announced parking restrictions in Westfield after a state of emergency was declared due to inclement weather.

Westfield Police Chief David C. Wayman requested residents remove their vehicles from the roadway to facilitate snow removal and avoid all unnecessary travel. According to police, parking on the following streets, or identified portions, is prohibited whenever snow has fallen:

  • Central Avenue (entire length);
  • Clark Street (between W Dudley Ave & Edgewood Ave);
  • E Broad Street (between Mountain Ave & N Euclid Ave);
  • Prospect Street (between E Broad St & E Dudley Ave);
  • West South Avenue (between Westfield Ave & Central Ave);
  • West Broad Street (entire length)

Westfield Police said parking is prohibited on the aforementioned streets until after the snow has stopped falling and the roads have been cleared..
