Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club Delivers Big at USATF Region 2 Championships

11 Athletes Qualify for Junior Olympic Nationals

On Saturday, November 22, the Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club traveled to White Oak Park, Pennsylvania to compete at the USATF Region 2 Cross Country Championships—and delivered one of their best performances yet.

Despite a tough and muddy course, the Flyers showed grit and teamwork across all age groups. The day included five Top 10 finishes, with athletes pushing through slick footing and difficult terrain to produce fast, competitive races. Two Flyers even set personal bests, an impressive feat given the conditions.

Next up is the Junior Olympic Nationals on December 13 in Shelbyville, Indiana, where the Flyers will look to keep the momentum going.
