Westfield Holding Holiday Light Decorating Competition Across Town

WESTFIELD, NJ — Registration is now open for Westfield's home holiday light decorating contest.

Using the CivicRec link provided by the Town, homeowners are invited to apply through Dec. 10 for a chance to win one of multiple prizes. Only Westfield residents are eligible to register.

Winners will be chosen through an online vote link on the recreation website, Facebook, and sent through CivicRec available to anyone from 5 p.m. on Dec. 12 to 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 25.

The three highest tallies will receive either a $100 Downtown Westfield Giftcard, $50 Downtown Westfield Giftcard, or a $25 Downtown Westfield Giftcard.

Each house must be decorated by residents and have all lights and displays visible from the curb. Lights should also be programmed to go on at sundown.

Decorations must stay up for the entire judging period, along with a visible lawn sign that will be provided that confirms the property's participation in the competition. Signs should not be thrown away, as they will be picked up afterwards by Town employees.

Homeowners looking to enter must submit one picture of their home to mbuchek@westfieldnj.gov by Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. Entrants must also agree to have one or more photos of their home, address, and family name on the Town's website, recreation Facebook page, and on the Google map for voting.
