Niche.com ranked the best public high schools in the state of New Jersey.

Westfield Senior High School has been named the 63rd best public high school in the state of New Jersey by Niche.com.

Niche.com is dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave Westfield Senior High School an A overall Niche grade.

The school lacked any A+ rankings, but received five A rankings in academics, educational outcomes, extracurriculars, health and safety, and teachers. The school did not fare as well in other categories, including resources and facilities and student culture and diversity, scoring a C+ and C respectively, according to Niche.com.

The website uses a very detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in New Jersey. The site collected 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 New Jersey students and parents.

  • Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
  • District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
  • District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
  • Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
