• Westfield PD: Newark Teen Charged with Burglary After Police Pursuit, Crash (tapinto.net) — Westfield police say an 18-year-old from Newark has been charged in connection with a Dec. 22 burglary on Seneca Place that targeted a high-end vehicle, following a multi-town pursuit and crash. Authorities report stepped-up overnight patrols in affected Westfield neighborhoods and are asking residents with any information on recent burglaries to contact Detective Lieutenant Marcin Kapa. 
• New Year's Day Heritage Trail Walk to Kick Off Westfield's America250 Events (tapinto.net) — Westfield is inviting residents to kick off 2026 with a free, guided New Year’s Day walk along the Charles Addams Heritage Trail, launching the town’s America250 celebrations. The 1.5‑mile tour highlights local landmarks tied to Addams and Westfield’s Revolutionary-era history, with registration required and a self-guided option available afterward.
