Westfield Woman Wins McDonald's Outstanding Operations Contributor Award

McDonald's New York Tri-State has recognized a Westfield woman for increasing hospitality standards.

A Westfield resident has been named by McDonald’s New York Tri-State as the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Operations Contributor Award.

Mayra Romero received the honor, which recognizes her achievements increasing hospitality standards and “exemplifying the first-class experience that McDonald’s is known for,” McDonald’s New York Tri-State said in a release.

“I believe a great workplace is made by the people and my colleagues were a huge part of the reason I decided to stay with McDonald’s,” Romero said in the release. “As a supervisor, I’m always trying to positively encourage my staff. I never miss an opportunity to say something nice, especially if it’s a job well done.”

Romero, who began her career at McDonald’s in 2002 after emigrating to the United States from Venezuela oversees 15 McDonald’s locations throughout New Jersey, the release said. She has won numerous awards during her career with the company, including the Ray Kroc Award, honoring the top 1 percent of McDonald’s store managers.
